Returns – Refunds

Warranty Returns:
Products returned for warranted repairs or replacement are done so under the jurisdiction of the manufacturers warranty policy and through the manufacturers warranty department.

Return & Refund Policy:
Should you wish to return a product for a reason other than warranty or repair, you have 30 days from the time your order is delivered to you. PortableKayaks.com offers return policies in line with those of our distributors and manufacturers. To view the warranties and return policies of individual manufacturers and possible exceptions or additions to PortableKayaks.com’s guidelines, please click on the warranty page.

The following guidelines are in addition and inclusive of those of our product manufacturers:

  • You must e-mail us at support@PortableKayaks.com to receive return instructions.
  • Product returns must be shipped to the product manufacturer. (Not to PortableKayaks.com, unless directed to).
  • Returned products should be in the condition they were received in, as well as in their original packaging.
  • Pack the item(s) securely.
  • Please remember to include all warranty cards and manuals.
  • Please include a copy of your receipt and a brief note declaring the reason for the return.
  • Send your package via UPS, FedEx or insured Parcel Post. (You are responsible for return product shipping charges.)
  • Refunds will be issued to the credit card used to make the original purchase within 3 business days after the returned item has been received and inspected for damage by the manufacturer.
  • The original cost of shipping the item to the customer will be subtracted from the refund.
  • In some cases, a re-stocking fee may also be subtracted from the refund. For specific information regarding re-stocking fees, click on the warranty page.

Exchanges:
From time to time, PortableKayaks.com may, in its sole discretion, exchange products or portions of a product. Any exchanges must be made within 14 days of purchase, and all original packaging and literature must accompany returned products and all products must be in “as new” condition. To assist our Christmas shoppers, any items purchased from November 20th until December 24th, can be exchanged in new condition with all original packaging until January 5th, or 13 days after purchase – whichever time period is longer. The PortableKayaks.com exchange policy may be pre-empted, altered or replaced by policies of the product manufacturer.
