The "Sport" .. Light & Versatile!
Puffins are extremely light-weight recreational folding kayaks with excellent paddling performance. Because it has no deck, there is no cockpit to limit your space. (An optional deck is available. See our Accessories Page.) The 28 inch beam gives it great stability and makes the Sport perfect for activities like fishing and wildlife viewing. The aluminum frame gives the Sport a sharp entry and clearly defined keel, so paddling efficiency is very good for such a small boat. Puffins have been featured in Popular Science and Popular Mechanics magazines. Hull shape is symmetrical, the bottom has a shallow vee shape, and the sides have some tumblehome. Unloaded shape is slightly rockered. More or less rocker is possible depending on load distribution. All models are delivered with seats, duffel bag, repair kit, pump, and instruction manual.
